Beaufort, SC, Jacksonville & Havelock, NC (August 3, 2010) – Atlantic Marine Corps Communities (AMCC) is excited to announce our presence on the social networking site, Facebook. 

Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them according to the Facebook website.  People use Facebook to keep friends updated and it is a fun easy way to share information.

Military housing developer and builder Actus Lend Lease along with FLS Energy announced the development of the nation’s largest solar thermal energy initiative at Atlantic Marine Corps Communities (AMCC) at Camp Lejeune, the public-private partnership between Actus Lend Lease and the Department of the Navy. Upon completion, it will be the largest producer of solar thermal power among all other residential communities in the continental United States and the largest project of its type on a U.S. Marine Corps Base.  The announcement will be highlighted at 2:00 p.m. with a visit from North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue who will tour the groundbreaking residential solar project with other elected officials and AMCC executives.
